Bridge Blast 2019!
To celebrate two years in business, City Built Brewing Company, a local brewery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, celebrated by hosting an all-day event on the 6th Street Bridge and connecting park called Bridge Blast 2019! Tech Defenders teamed up with City Built to help sponsor the VIP Tent which included beer tickets, delicious food from Tamales Mary, live music, and an excellent view of the water.
All the proceeds from the celebration went to the Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation for the benefit of Grand Rapids Public Schools. Overall, Bridge Blast 2019 was able to raise over $5,000. The day was filled with family/pet friendly activities, great beer, and entertainment from West Michigan based bands including Lowdown Brass Band, Hollywood Makeout The Bootstrap Boys, and Soul Club.
For the VIP tent, Tech Defenders’ volunteers served locally brewed CityBuilt beer while networking with all of the VIP guests. We were so honored to be a part of the celebration of community and craft beer, and we can’t wait to see the growth at next year’s event! Watch our video above to see highlights from the celebration.
